Long queues at Montréal-Trudeau airport

Anger rises at Montreal-Trudeau airport. Many travelers waiting for airline flights Air Canada live a real ordeal on this Christmas day. They are more than a hundred to have gathered in front of the kiosk of the company inside the airport, trying to reach – often in vain – the saturated telephone switchboards of the company.

Several of them explain having waited for several hours on the telephone, in the hope of being put in touch with a representative ofAir Canadabefore the line suddenly cuts.

« Yes, Air Canada did this to everyone. The flight of a Montreal friend was canceled, without the possibility of contacting the company, ”testifies an annoyed Internet user in a tweet.

Another traveler says she missed Christmas with her family after her flight was cancelled. Same scenario: the latter claims to have been unable to contact Air Canada since the announcement of its cancellation.

« Air Canada, your line is open 24 hours a day, 7/7 and you have been unreachable since the cancellation of my flight, » she lamented.

Due to current weather conditions and « reduced airport capacities », Air Canada had announced earlier in the day that some flights would be cancelled. The airline is asking travelers to turn to online tools to change their flights or get a refund, creating frustration for many helpless holidaymakers.

According to The Press, only 24 of the 477 scheduled flights would have been canceled during the day of December 25. The Director, Public Relations at Aéroports de Montréal, Anne Marcotte, welcomed this report and underlined that services at Montréal-Trudeau airport had been provided, despite the unfavorable conditions.
