London police are searching for a 16-year-old boy who they believe stabbed a man to death last weekend.
George David of Downham may be in hiding with the help of others following the murder of Gabriel Petrov Stoyanov last Friday, the Metropolitan Police have said.
Two other teenagers, a 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested this week for allegedly taking part in the horrific murder, but David has been on the loose for a week, police said.
The other two suspects remain in custody.
“George, my direct message to you is that you should report to the police station immediately,” Chief Detective Inspector Kelly Allen said Thursday.
“We believe there is a possibility that George may be hidden or moved by people he knows. My message to these people is that if you are working to thwart our investigations, you need to be very aware of the issues you may find yourself in. We will seek to arrest and prosecute you to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Stoyanov was stabbed just before midnight on Bromley Road.
The 21-year-old was taken to an area hospital but died of his injuries the following afternoon.
Stoyanov’s friends remembered him as a “true gentleman with a heart of gold”, the US Sun reported.
“I left the party too soon my friend. I hope you are in a better place. Words are not enough, but we will always carry you in our hearts. We will see each other again, I am sure I ask anyone who is willing to help their family through this ordeal. We love you, Gabriel! said a friend.
