Julie Rovner, KFF Health News’ chief Washington correspondent, appeared Oct. 6 on the “Today, Explained” podcast to discuss TrumpRx, President Donald Trump’s proposal for a direct-to-consumer website aimed at lowering prescription drug costs.
Although few details were made public when the program was announced Sept. 30, Rovner says consumers enrolled in health plans through their employer or government programs can save more money on drugs by using their insurance or drug manufacturers’ patient discount programs.
