Legislative The elected representatives of the left rally from the first round

Four candidates from the New People’s Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) were elected in the first round of the legislative elections on Sunday 12 June. A feat these days since it is necessary not only to collect more than 50% of the votes cast, but also at least 25% of the voters registered on the electoral lists of the constituency, a score difficult to achieve due to the high level of abstention . This is the case of the rebellious outgoing deputy Alexis Corbière, who won with 63% of the votes cast in his constituency of Montreuil-Bagnolet (Seine-Saint-Denis). His colleague Danièle Obono was also re-elected with 57.07% of the votes in the 17th district of Paris. Still in the capital, the rebellious Sophia Chikirou (54%) and Sarah Legrain (56.51%) were also elected in the first round in the 6th and 16th constituencies. Either two new faces on the benches of the Assembly.
