Kuzmenko scores a hat trick in Canucks 8-5 win

VANCOUVER — Andrei Kuzmenko scored a hat trick as the Vancouver Canucks edged the Anaheim Ducks 8-5 on Thursday.

Kuzmenko was also part of Elias Pettersson’s goal, scoring a goal and four assists.

Captain Bo Horvat completed a brace into an empty net – it was his third straight game with two goals.

JT Miller and Dakota Joshua also scored for the Canucks.

Quinn Hughes provided two assists and Spencer Martin blocked 26 shots.

For the Ducks, Troy Terry scored one goal and three points. He leads the team with 15 points, including five goals.

Maxime Comtois hit the target in a second game in a row, scoring a breakaway goal.

Trevor Zegras, Ryan Strome and Max Jones also scored, while John Gibson made 39 saves.
