Konecny and Frost lead Flyers to victory with two goals in 23 seconds

PHILADELPHIA — Travis Konecny and Morgan Frost scored 23 seconds apart Thursday to guide the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils.
John Tortorella therefore savored the victory in his first official game at the helm of the Flyers.
The score was 1-1 when Konecy scored at 10:39 in the middle period.
Frost quickly doubled the cushion, then the pair completed doubles in the third period.
Wade Allison was the other scorer for the winners.
Carter Hart made 34 saves, being beaten by Damon Severson and Alexander Holtz. The latter obtained a first net in the National League.
Among the crowd was the commissioner of the NHL, Gary Bettman.
There was also former Flyers glory Eric Lindros and Phillies manager Rob Thomson.
The Devils’ first home game is Saturday night against the Red Wings.
Also on Saturday, the Flyers will host the Canucks, starting at 4:00 p.m.
On the same day and roughly across the street, the Phillies will host the Braves in Game 4 of this series, beginning at 2:07 p.m.
