Kitigan Zibi man arrested in connection with Gatineau stabbing death

A 19-year-old Kitigan Zibi man was arrested by Gatineau police in connection with the May 28 stabbing death of Trevor Turner, 22, of Gatineau.

Police say the suspect was arrested around 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gatineau. He did not resist his arrest.

He is due in court on Thursday to be charged with accessory after the fact to manslaughter.

Police were called to Court Street in the Aylmer area around 2 a.m. on May 28 to reports of a man with serious stab wounds to the upper body.

The victim was lying in front of a business when the police arrived. He was already dead from his injuries.

Police said on Wednesday the investigation was continuing and “further arrests are expected to follow.”
