Kelly Rizzo Spends Her First Christmas Without Late Husband Bob Saget: ‘Treasure Every Moment’

Kelly Rizzo reflects on her first Christmas as a widow.

The TV host’s late husband, Bob Saget, passed away on January 22, and she shared many beautiful tributes in his memory. As the holidays approach, she spends them without him by her side.

She shared her thoughts on Instagram with a post that began, “Cherish every moment. I certainly didn’t think our first Christmas together (in the same city) last year would be our last.

« (this was his first year coming to Chicago to spend Christmas with my family and my wonderful daughter-in-law, Lara) I’m so glad we had this special time together, » she continued. « He was able to spend time with my niece Alex, who was only 2 years old, and met my niece Brooklyn, who was only 2 weeks old. Alex still remembers ‘Uncle Bob’ and talks about him every He certainly left a lasting impression for which I am very grateful, but Bob did that with everyone he met.

Rizzo took time in the post to make sure everyone was loving their vacation and reflecting on all the happiness he was blessed with.

« The holidays are a time of hope, love and togetherness. I pray that if you miss a loved one this holiday season, that you will be blessed with many deep, loving memories and gratitude that will get you through, » she said. « As I’ve said before, I’m so grateful that I was able to have this amazing man in my life and to be in his for 6 years. There is no better Christmas present than this. Sending love, prayers and wishes to you all.

She concluded her message by thanking everyone for all of their support during her difficult time.
