Kelly Rizzo says Bob Saget’s daughters are ‘everything to me’

Bob Saget’s wife confides in her relationship with her children.

On Thursday, Kelly Rizzo sat down with the « Today » show and opened up about how she’s dealt with her grief and more in the year since the beloved actor’s death.

When I think about the fact that I haven’t spoken to or seen my husband in a year, it’s very surreal and very, very strange,” she said.

She also revealed that her relationship with Saget’s three daughters, Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer, has grown closer than ever.

« The three of them are everything to me because they were everything to him, » Rizzo said. « Keeping them close, really, that’s all. »

Rizzo also talked about trying to bring Saget’s famous optimism into his life, including his grief.

« I’m really trying to learn from it what you can do to turn this into a positive experience because Bob did it, » she said. “He had so many losses in his life and he turned it all into a positive and thoughtful experience. If he did, I want to use that experience in the same way.

She added: “Missing him and being sad about it doesn’t go away. The heartbreak has now turned into this immense gratitude for the time we spent together.

Saget died on January 9, 2022 at age 65 from accidental head trauma.
