Maggie Baugh, the 25-year-old multi-instrumentalist who Nicole Kidman fans blame for the end of her marriage to Keith Urban, has finally revealed the big “announcement” she promised the public.
Baugh, who drew negative attention to herself when she posted a video of Keith Urban, 57, changing the lyrics of his song in a way that fans deemed flirtatious as they performed together, posted Monday that she had an announcement coming. As Baugh has been mum on social media for days while fans flooded her old posts with negative comments, some in the comments of her teaser expected that the upcoming announcement could be “apology” or “engagement” news.
Opportunity presented itself in a unique form when, while touring with Urban, the star sang the lyrics “I was born to love you” to him while they performed, and more recently, she changed the lyrics to “The Fighter” to “Maggie, I will be your guitar player.” Baugh posted the moment online with the caption: “Did he just say that? ” and days later, Kidman, 58, filed to end the celebrities’ 19-year marriage. The Daily Mail reported that Urban was dating a “young woman in the industry” and claimed the relationship was the talk of the Nashville music scene.
Since then, the singer has been mocked and insulted online for days, as commenters subjected her to endless criticism over her appearance and posted Kidman memes over her content. Her family has even been drawn into the rumor mill, as Baugh’s father, Chuck Baugh, has spoken out several times to try to quell rumors of an affair between his daughter and her former boss.
It stands to reason that Baugh may have something to say when it comes to mental health, as her post suggests, although this attention has indeed brought her the publicity she may have craved. Despite the negative attention she’s receiving, she has yet to publicly deny the rumors.
