Karur Stampede: The High Court of Madras to hear TVK advocacy on October 3, the number of deaths goes to 41

The number of deaths reaches 41

The number of deaths in the tragedy of Karur’s jostling rose to 41 Sunday, September 28, after a 60 -year -old woman, identified as Suguna, died of the injuries of Karur Government Medical College and Hospital, where she was under treatment, reported the indu.

39 people died after a jostling on the Vijay TVK rally on Saturday, September 27. The death toll went to September 40, because another person would have succumbed to injuries.

Tamil Nadu’s health secretary, P Senthil Kumar, said earlier than 39 deaths had been reported, including 17 women, 13 men, four male children and five children in the incident, in accordance with the PTI news agency. About 60 other people were reported injured.

Arivazhagan said Sept 28

He mentioned before judge M Dhandapani, urging the court to meet the SUO Motu incident and to ensure a impartial investigation. The advocacy stressed that only an independent agency could discover the failures that led to the loss of large -scale lives during the party’s public meeting, according to Ani.

The judge ordered defenders to file a detailed petition before the Madurai bench of the High Court. The case should be taken to hear in the afternoon on Monday, September 29.

The victim moves HC against TVK

A man injured during the rally also moved to the high court of Madras with a plea requesting a restraint on the political rallies of Vijay and TVK until the Stampede case is completely studied, the responsibility fixed and the effective safety protocols are assured.

The victim asked for a management for the DGP of the Tamil Nadu to prevent him from granting permission for the rallies, according to PTI.

The petitioner said that although the ex-Gratie announced by the government (10 Lakh) and the appointment of a commission of inquiry under the judge Aruna Jagadeesan were steps in the right direction, these were not sufficient to fight against recurring danger.

High Court’s retirement judge Aruna Jagadeesan, who was appointed by the State government for a detailed investigation into the Karur rally, continued his investigation for the second day on the accident site.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman also visited the incident site and then went to the hospital to meet the victims and their families.

The head of the opposition to Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi called the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, to inquire about the incident. He also called Vijay de TVK to express his condolences.

Stalin thanked Gandhi for calling and asking questions about the treatment of the injured. “Thank you, my dear brother Thiru Rahulgandhi, for contacted me by phone, to transmit your disaster concern to the tragic incident in Karur, and to sincerely ask you the measures taken to save the precious life of those under treatment,” he wrote in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
