Jamison Hensley is a journalist covering the Ravens of Baltimore for ESPN. Jamison joined ESPN in 2011, covering AFC North before focusing exclusively on Ravens from 2013. Jamison won the National Sports Media Maryland Sportswriter of the Year Prize in 2018, and he is the author of a book entitled: Flying High: Stories of the Baltimore Ravens. He was the writer Beat Ravens for the Baltimore Sun from 2000 to 2011.

Owings Mills, Md.-During the defeat of 44-10 on Sunday against Houston’s Texans, the Baltimore Ravens equaled their greatest home loss in the history of the franchise as well as their worst departure at 1-4.

A day later, Ravens coach John Harbaugh insisted that his team had what it takes to bounce back on one of the lowest points of the franchise.

“You cannot sit there and say that everything is lost. We don’t do it,” said Harbaugh on Monday. “And we have already done it – other teams have already done so – so we’re going to go to work and try to get there.”

The Ravens are still the favorite of the bets to win AFC North, according to ESPN Bet, even if they drag the Steelers of Pittsburgh (3-1) by 2 1/2 games. In the current divisional format (since 2002), seven teams that started 1 to 4 or worse were able to bounce back to win their division, including the Los Angeles 2024 RAMS.

The Baltimore calendar, which has been the most most apron, second, becomes easier. The remaining calendar of ravens is classified 25th in the NFL, according to ESPN Analytics.

The Ravens understand that their level of play must improve, and Harbaugh said that “a lot of decisions” to make, which could involve changes of staff. Baltimore could try to move with the offensive line, the secondary and secondary, which all fought on Sunday.

“You look at how the guys have done … and who may need an opportunity,” said Harbaugh. “Many of this is also with injuries, (with) bring the guys back.

Harbaugh would not say if the quarter-Arrière Lamar Jackson and the other wounded players of the Pro Bowl would return this week and would play Sunday against the Rams.

Jackson, a most useful double player in the NFL, was sidelined the last match with an injury to the hamstrings. With Jackson, the Ravens were without their six best paid players on Sunday: Kyle Hamilton security (groin), the defensive platform Nnamdi Madubuike (COU), the offensive platform Ronnie Stanley (Ankle), the roquan Smith (hamstrical) and the Cornerback Marlon Hummon (CALF).

Hamilton and Stanley are probably the closest to come back.

“With Lamar and the other guys, I would say that we are understanding this right now,” said Harbaugh. “So throughout the week, we will just have to see how they progress.”

Baltimore is now 4-11 (.266) without Jackson since 2018, losing five games in a row when he was not his starting quarter. Sunday, Cooper Rush made its first departure for the Ravens, finishing 14 of the 20 passes for 170 yards and three interceptions.

Harbaugh was not engaged on the question of whether Rush would continue to start in the absence of Jackson. The other option is the quarter-rear Tyler Huntley, which is part of the training team.

“We will consider everything, each part of it to try to obtain victory,” said Harbaugh. “We will talk about the next 24 hours.”
