Jeanne Beker wins a Women’s Empowerment Award

It was ladies’ night on September 21, as the Women Empowerment Awards were taking place at the Shangri-La Toronto. The awards, hosted by Sportsnet’s Danielle Michaud and wellness expert Sonia Jhas, were created to celebrate the diverse achievements of women in business, leadership and community service in Canada. At this year’s ceremony, presented by Rogers with presenting sponsor Mantella Corp., awards were presented in several categories including Mentorship, Innovation, Global Impact and Entrepreneur. Canadian fashion icon Jeanne Beker was on hand to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.
