Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier help Devils beat Penguins 4-2

PITTSBURGH — Jack Hughes scored twice as the New Jersey Devils edged the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 on Friday night.
Nico Hischier added a shorthanded goal for the Devils, who had lost their last games and eight of their last 10.
The New Jersey squad, however, is 19-3-2 when Hischier gets a point and 11-4-1 when Hughes threads the needle.
Dougie Hamilton was the Devils’ other scorer as Vitek Vanecek saved 25 pucks in the win.
Despite their recent setbacks, the Devils claim a 13-2-1 road record this season, second best in the NHL.
Evgeni Malkin and Jeff Carter replied for the Penguins, who suffered a fourth straight loss. Tristan Jarry blocked 24 shots.
