Is « Smile » streaming on HBO Max or Netflix?

SmileA new horror movie hitting theaters this weekend capitalizes on a concept anyone who’s done a senior photoshoot knows all too well: forced smiles are really, really scary.

Written and directed by first-time filmmaker Parker Finn – based on his 2020 short Laura has not slept-this supernatural thriller follows a psychiatrist (played by Sosie Bacon) who sees a patient commit suicide. Following this traumatic incident, she becomes haunted by a terrifying image – everyone in her life starts smiling. But it’s not like, a beautiful smile. It’s the scariest smile ever.

Basically, after watching this movie, you will never want to smile for a picture again. Here’s what to know about where to look Smileand when to expect Smile streaming movie.

WHERE TO WATCH THE SMILE FILM:

For now the only way to look Smile is to go to the cinema. Smile will open in theaters in the United States on Friday, September 30. You can find tickets to a theater near you through Fandango.

After the theatrical release of the film, you will be able to stream Smile on Paramount+, Paramount’s streaming service. Paramount+ offers a premium plan for $9.99/month or an ad-supported plan for $5.99/month.

IS SMILE STREAMING 2022 ON HBO MAX?

No. Smile is a Paramount movie, not a Warner Bros. movie, and therefore won’t air on HBO Max when it opens in theaters. More than that, HBO Max won’t be streaming any more movies in theaters in 2022. Last year, Warner Media opted to simulcast its theatrical streaming slate, meaning HBO Max subscribers could watch movies like Matrix Resurrections at home. This year, however, Warner Bros. will run for 45 days only in theaters before moving to HBO Max. The movie may be on HBO Max one day, but it won’t be anytime soon.

IS SMILE ON NETFLIX?

No. Smile isn’t on Netflix, and, since it’s going on Paramount+, it probably won’t be on Netflix anytime soon. Sorry!

WHEN SMILE ONLINE STREAMING? SMILE PARAMOUNT PLUS RELEASE:

Although there is no official Paramount+ release date for Smile, we can wait each other Smile to be on Paramount+ after roughly 45 days in theaters. Last year, Paramount announced that all of its titles would move to Paramount+ after 30 days in theaters, while major blockbuster titles would get 45 days in theaters. Therefore you should see Smile on Paramount+ around mid-November 2022.

It is not clear if you will also be able to buy or rent Smile on VOD at the same time as it is released on Paramount+. Whereas The lost city came to digital the same day it was released on Paramount+, the release of Fooled forever on Paramount+ was not accompanied by a VOD release. In place, Fooled forever arrived on VOD about a week after its release on Paramount+. Therefore, if you want to be able to watch Smile streaming as soon as it’s available, your best bet is to sign up for Paramount+.
