Investigators believe same suspect involved in two shootings, including one fatal, in Calgary

CALGARY — Calgary police say a suspect in a fatal shooting is also wanted in another shooting that occurred the day before.

Officers were called to the Falconridge neighborhood in the city’s northeast to reports of gunfire early Saturday, and a man with what appeared to be gunshot wounds was pronounced dead on the premises.

Investigators believe the suspect is also responsible for an early morning shooting in the adjacent Castleridge neighborhood on Friday that left a victim, who police say was confronted at his home, in critical condition.

Police warn that the suspect, who is in his late 20s or early 30s, is considered armed and dangerous.

He is described as fair-skinned, about 5ft 10in tall and slim, wearing a blue hoodie, blue bandana, black baseball cap and black backpack.

Police said he was last known to have been on foot in the 0 to 100 block of Falconridge Place North East.
