Insurance brokerage Marsh & McLennan appoints new CEO

Insurance Broker and Benefits Firm Marsh and McLennan said the general manager Daniel S. Glaser will retire at the end of the year and Chief Operating Officer John Q. Doyle will succeed him.

Mr. Doyle’s promotion to the top job mimics Mr. Glaser’s journey in September 2012. Afterwards, Mr. Glaser, the chief operating officer, was named CEO. Mr. Doyle, who is 58, will succeed Mr. Glaser, now 62.
