The British brothers charged with kidnapping and rape, court sources told Romanian media Libertatea.
The brothers allegedly held two young women inside the villa against their will in April, where they were allegedly subjected to « physical and mental abuse », according to the Daily Mail.
Police suspect the Tate brothers formed an organized crime group that ‘sexually exploited members of the group by forcing them to perform pornographic displays for the purpose of posting them on social media platforms’.
The two men had been questioned on April 11 by the police for five hours, but had been released, reports Libertatea.
A video of Tate being escorted in a car and flanked by two officers was shared shortly after the news broke.
Tate’s arrest may have been prompted by his Twitter feud the day before with environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
