In Nice, one dead and several injured in a fire

One person was killed and several were injured in an apartment fire on Friday evening November 25 in Nice, firefighters announced. The smoke then spread throughout the building until late at night, leading to the evacuation of 180 people.
One of the injured is in a state of absolute emergency and three are in a relative emergency, firefighters from the Alpes-Maritimes told AFP on Saturday morning. Several other people were evacuated to the Nice hospital center. The cause of the accident is not yet known.
Smoke that spread throughout the building
The start of the fire occurred on the fourth floor of a building counting thirteen, at 12 boulevard Comte de Falicon, north of Nice. If the flames remained limited inside the original apartment, the smoke then spread widely in the building, hence the large number of injured, said the emergency services, which intervened at 10:30 p.m. Friday night.
In all, 80 firefighters intervened on this operation. In the morning, a vehicle was still present to provide surveillance and avoid a resumption of the disaster.
