It was barely 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon when the Quebec Solidarity candidate’s team of volunteers had almost already closed the deal.
“We had a competition to see who was going to put up the most signs as quickly as possible!” said one of them, Jean-Michel Duclos.
« The signs set the tone for the campaign, » said Éric Landry, a PQ activist for fifty years. « That’s some color for a strong start! »
Jeannot Longuépée, Caquiste activist, is in his first experience in the electoral display. « It makes our candidate known, » he said.
« It’s a tradition, » concluded Liberal Guy Gaudin. « It allows people to put a face to our candidate’s name. »
