Huntsville, ala. (Whnt) – An old UAH hockey star comes home.
The former charge of the loaders, Josh Kestner, signed with the Havoc of Huntsville, the team announced on Wednesday.
Kestner played four seasons in the UAH before starting her professional career with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. During the 2019-2020 season, Kestner played for the Doré de Toledo, where he won the MVP of the League.
His curriculum vitae includes stops in the best Finnish league, Liiga, the KHL of Russia, the Czech extraliga and, more recently, in Slovakia.
Kestner is now going home, where he says he wants to put a knot on his hockey career.
“I want to end my career where I started and get home and play for the ravages,” said Kestner.
Kestner says there is no place like the house.
“There is nothing like the opportunity to play in front of the family, friends and the community where it all started,” said Kestner. “I am delighted to bring my game home and are part of the ravages.”
The addition will give the ravages a veteran who recorded more than 200 points, has played in several best leagues in the world and knows what it takes to win a championship.
The Havoc is starting the training camp next week.
