Hugh Jackman Says Wolverine and Deadpool Will « Hate Each Other » in ‘Deadpool 3’

Don’t expect romance between Wolverine and Deadpool.

Appearing on the « Empire Film Podcast, » actor Hugh Jackman opened up about returning to his most iconic role in the upcoming « Deadpool 3 » with pal Ryan Reynolds.

When asked how he would describe Wolverine and Deadpool’s dynamic in the film, Jackman replied, “How do I categorize it? Ten being very close, zero being reality: we are zero; we are opposed, we hate each other.

Indeed, the actor teased fans can expect a few fight scenes between the two superheroes.

« I’m just speaking from my perspective, » Jackman said. « [Logan is] frustrated with him [and] wants to be millions of miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head. Sadly, he can’t be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I’m probably going to punch him in the head a lot.

Last week, Jackman explained to SiriusXM how Wolverine’s return will work given that the character died at the end of « Logan » in 2017.

« It’s all down to this device that they have in the Marvel world to move around on time, » he said. “Now we can go back because, you know, it’s science. So I don’t have to worry about the « Logan » timeline, which was important to me. And I’m probably thinking of the fans too.

“Deadpool 3” is set to release on November 8, 2024.
