Huberdeau scores in the third period and the Flames beat the Kraken 3-2

SEATTLE — Jonathan Huberdeau broke the tie with 8:00 left in the third period and the Calgary Flames defeated the Seattle Kraken 3-2 on Wednesday.

The Quebec forward recovered a shot from Rasmus Andersson in the crease, spun around, then beat goaltender Philipp Grubauer to score his seventh goal of the season.

Nazem Kadri had a goal and an assist, while Tyler Toffoli also moved the ropes for the Flames. Andersson had two assists and Dan Vladar stopped 29 shots.

Ryan Donato and Jamie Oleksiak scored for the Kraken. Jordan Eberle had two assists and Grubauer made 41 saves.

The victory puts the Flames ahead of the Kraken and the Edmonton Oilers for third place in the Pacific Division. The Flames, however, have played four more games than the Kraken and one more than the Oilers.
