Home Chef teams up with Rachel Ray for a gourmet collaboration

The beauty of meal delivery is truly unmatched, especially for a New Yorker like me.

I’m always on the go, heading to my next meeting or event. With so much going on at the same time, it can be hard to find the time to find a recipe, go to my local grocery store, gather the necessary ingredients and, in fact, to cook the meal. There just isn’t enough time in the day.

Fortunately, Home Chef understands this, as they deliver ready-to-cook meals right to your doorstep. But the brand has moved up a gear.

Home Chef has officially partnered with TV host, best-selling author and philanthropist Rachael Ray. AKA, the queen of the kitchen.

« I’m thrilled to partner with Home Chef to bring tasty, easy-to-prepare meals to homes across the country, » Ray said in a press release. « Teaching others how to cook has always been a passion of mine, and this collaboration allows me to help people build their cooking confidence with my own recipes delivered right to your door. »

Customers can enjoy exclusive, easy-to-prepare Rachael Ray recipes (which require minimal tools and techniques) on a weekly basis until March 12, 2023.

Each Rachel Ray meal comes with easy-to-follow instructions and pre-portioned ingredients for any home chef.

Since I love Rachel Ray (thanks, Mom, for still playing her show on TV) and need a hearty meal, I decided to put my cooking skills to the test.

It was time to see how easy (or hard) this Home Chef x Rachel Ray meal was going to be. So what did I order, you ask? None other than the steakhouse burger with dijon mushrooms and onions served with fries.

The Home Chef came with everything needed to tackle the meal, as seen below. All I had to do was prepare the ingredients.

First, I preheated the oven for the fries, washed the vegetables and diced them. Then I seasoned the potatoes and slid them into the oven.

It all seemed easy enough, but now it was time for the meat.

I had already thawed the meat. Therefore, I unwrapped the ground beef and combined it with the spices and seasoning provided. Then I shaped them into two patties. Once done, I transferred them to my Our Place Always Pan (check out our review here) which was topped off with a little olive oil. I quickly added my favorite ingredient: cheese.

While these cooked over medium heat, I started with the Dijon mushrooms and onions. I baked them until they reached a golden brown and filled my house with delicious aroma.

The patties and veggies finished about the same time, as did the fries. I arrived at the set and was more than impressed with how quickly the process was going.

Before I knew it, I was done. From start to finish it took maybe 45 minutes, and since everything I needed was in the Home Chef bag, the meal was simple to prepare. Just like that, my boyfriend and I had a delicious dinner from none other than Rachel Ray herself.
