Hillary Clinton Recalls Queen’s ‘Continued Resilience’ at TIFF

TORONTO — Hillary Rodham Clinton remembered the Queen as a model of resilience at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The former US secretary of state spoke at a TIFF industry conference on Saturday alongside his daughter Chelsea Clinton and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the prime minister’s wife.

Trudeau asked the Clintons what they would have discussed with the Queen in a hypothetical interview for their streaming documentary series, « Gutsy. »

The elder Clinton said she would have asked where she found “the continued resilience” to carry out her duties each day of her 70-year reign.

She added that she admired the British monarch’s tireless dedication to public service.

« Gutsy, » based on the Clintons’ book « The Book of Gutsy Women, » sees the mother-daughter duo speak with some of their heroes, including Gloria Steinem, Wanda Sykes and Jane Goodall. The show is streaming on Apple TV Plus.
