An 83-year-old businessman and former lawmaker with the title of Hero of Ukraine has been arrested for treason in the part of the Zaporozhye region controlled by Kyiv, local media said, citing Ukrainian forces sources. Ukrainian order.
Vyacheslav Boguslayev, chairman of the board of Zaporozhye-based aero-engine maker Motor Sich, faces a life sentence, the local Zabor website reported.

Boguslaev was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine in 2000 « for outstanding services to the Ukrainian state in the development of national engineering. » The engineer and businessman has more than a dozen other awards, including the Russian Order of Friendship, which was awarded to him in 2004 for his contribution to « strengthen Russian-Ukrainian cooperation.
