Grimes says she couldn’t afford a house without help from Elon Musk

Singer Grimes raised her eyebrows after claiming she simply couldn’t afford to buy a house without the financial help of ex Elon Musk.

The « Genesis » hitmaker, who shares two children with the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, took to Twitter on Monday to ask her followers to join her in petitioning against rising home prices in Texas.

“My fellow Texans! Petitions may seem unnecessary, but I guarantee local politicians take them seriously,” she tweeted.

“Plz sign to reduce housing costs in Austin. There is effective legislation on the table here, but we need public support.

But despite her good intentions, some followers slammed the singer for asking for something they said didn’t affect her.

« Grimes you are set, your opinion on ‘the housing market’ is invalid », wrote a Twitter user.

It wasn’t long before the mom of two repliedwriting: « First of all, I couldn’t afford to buy a house that suits my kids in Austin atm without the help of their dad who is INSANE because I’m ap[retty] successful artist.

« Second, these are not my opinions, I just agreed to help real experts/policy makers, » she added.

The critic doubled, to add« That’s what I mean, their father is going to help him and do it. You are ready.

It looks like Grimes isn’t the only one Musk is supporting financially.

The billionaire recently revealed that he and his brother, Kimbal, have provided financial support to their father Errol since he « ran out of money » decades ago.
