Grimes calls Mark Zuckerberg ‘underqualified’ to lead the Metaverse

It looks like Grimes may have to be convinced if Mark Zuckerberg is ever to rule the Metaverse.
The singer, 34, expressed her contempt for the tech mogul’s plans to turn the company formerly known as Facebook into a pioneer of the metaverse.
In fact, she thinks he’s « grossly underqualified » to run the ship.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, the ‘Oblivion’ hitmaker, who previously dated billionaire Elon Musk, slammed the Facebook founder’s Metaverse avatar.
“If Zuck is ‘overseeing the metaverse’, he’s dead and people who care about art and culture are building something else. It’s also bad art. tweeted the singerreal name Claire Boucher.
« The quality of this image alone shows how hugely underqualified he is at creating an alternate reality, literally every indie game looks better. »
Last week, Zuckerberg posted an image of his Metaverse avatar on Facebook, but the response was far from what he had hoped for.
He then shared a different version of the avatar a few days later.

« I know the photo I posted earlier this week was pretty basic – it was taken very quickly to celebrate a launch, » he wrote. « Horizon’s graphics are capable of so much more – even on headsets – and Horizon is improving very quickly. »
Zuckerberg led a company-wide shift to the Metaverse last fall — going so far as to rebrand Facebook’s corporate name to Meta — as the struggling social media platform faces a series scandals regarding its business practices and internal policies.
