Golden Knights complete comeback against Canucks


VANCOUVER — William Carrier scored twice as the Vegas Golden Knights overcame a two-goal third-period deficit to edge the Vancouver Canucks 5-4 on Monday.

Alex Pietrangelo, author of a goal and two assists, Mark Stone and Reilly Smith also made the ropes vibrate for the Golden Knights. Jack Eichel and Alec Martinez each had two assists.

Logan Thompson stopped 25 shots in the win. His vis-à-vis, Thatcher Demko, made 33 saves.

Andrei Kuzmenko led the charge for the Canucks with a goal and an assist. Bo Horvat, who scored his 15th goal of the campaign, Luke Schenn and Elias Pettersson also found the back of the net for the Canadian squad.

Quinn Hughes also stood out by being an accomplice to two goals for his team.
