Gibson makes 49 saves and Ducks beat Golden Knights 3-2 in shootout

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Trevor Zegras and Troy Terry scored in the shootout, John Gibson was credited with 49 saves and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 on Wednesday.
Adam Henrique scored twice in the first period for the Ducks, who tried to hold on to their lead afterwards. Zegras and Terry each collected two assists.
Mark Stone and Ben Hutton allowed the Golden Knights to make the comeback.
Adin Hill allowed both goals to Henrique and gave up his place in the Golden Knights net after 12:26 of play. He stopped three shots.
Logan Thompson took over and made 22 saves. Thompson had to be vigilant in overtime, after Mark Stone was punished for tripping.
He was, however, powerless against Zegras and Terry in a shootout. Meanwhile, Gibson resisted attempts by Stone and Reilly Smith, handing the victory to the Ducks.
