Ghislaine Maxwell seen laughing and jogging on the track of a prison in Florida

Ghislaine Maxwell is back on the run, but this time safely behind bars.

Late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s notorious sex-trafficking madam was filmed taking a morning jog through his low-security prison – laughing hysterically with a pal in the Florida sun.

Photos taken from outside the Federal Correction Institute in Tallahassee show former President Bill Clinton’s ‘special’ friend looking relaxed and happy while doing laps on a four-lane running track.

Dressed all in gray, the 60-year-old was filmed laughing with another inmate as he briskly walked at a distance from other inmates exercising.

Only the barbed wire separating her from the photographer reveals that Maxwell is currently serving his 20-year prison sentence.

FCI Tallahassee is a far cry from the jet-set life the disgraced British socialite has enjoyed for most of her life, especially after meeting multi-millionaire Epstein.

Her laughing prison pal probably doesn’t have the social cachet of those she rubbed shoulders with on the outside, like ‘dear friend’ Prince Andrew and Clinton, with whom she shared a ‘special friendship’.

Still, the Florida jail — where inmates can also enjoy movie nights and relaxing yoga sessions — is far cozier than Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where Maxwell regularly complained of inhumane conditions while there. locked up after his initial arrest in July 2020.

His relaxed, jovial appearance also seems to betray his complaints in a recent prison interview that the “softer” regime there is just as tough – if not tougher – than in Brooklyn.

The photos seemed to betray Ghislaine’s complaints about the low-security prison.

“It’s still jail. It’s very far from being a cushy country club… You’re locked up all the time,’ she complained to documentary maker Daphne Barak, according to excerpts from the Sunday Mail.

« When they let you out for an hour, there’s no chair for everyone in the common area and no way to watch TV, » she moaned, also lamenting the lack of access Internet and waiting for telephones.

Maxwell revealed she had a job – inside the prison’s law library and education center – bragging that she had « helped people with anything possible ».

Despite her litany of complaints, she admitted that she had “not experienced any of the gross violations of my rights that I experienced at the MDC.

« I don’t feel in danger. And I am fully capable of living and working here,” she said.

A prison source told the Mirror – the British newspaper which first obtained the photos – that « Ghislaine is incredibly fit, » a prison source said.

“She runs almost every day,” the insider said.

“She is happy to be allowed outside again, where she has at least some semblance of freedom.

“When she’s not working at the law library, she stays out in the sun for hours. She’s very, very outgoing,” the source said.

While it’s not immediately clear who their laughing prison pal was, Maxwell reportedly quickly became friends with Narcy Novack, the Florida woman serving life for orchestrating the murders of her millionaire husband and mother.

Maxwell is no stranger to the Sunshine State – where she regularly stayed with Epstein at one of his many mansions where he abused young girls before killing himself in his own prison in 2019.

Maxwell is currently appealing his sentence. If unsuccessful, she plans to seek a move to complete her stay in a “far superior” UK prison, her brother has previously revealed.

« Inevitably we want her to serve her sentence here in the UK, » Ian Maxwell, 66, told The Telegraph in June.

“There is a program allowing foreign nationals to serve their sentence in the country of their nationality. There are precedents,” he said.

As it stands, her release is scheduled for July 2037, when she turns 75.

Both Clinton and Britain’s Royal Andrew – the younger brother of King Charles III – have repeatedly denied any knowledge of Maxwell and Epstein’s evil activity.
