FTX wins auction for assets of bankrupt crypto broker Voyager Digital

Sam Banman-Fried’s crypto exchange FTX won an auction for the assets of digital travel with an offer valued at $1.42 billion, the cryptocurrency broker and lender declared bankrupt.

The deal follows a competitive process that lasted two weeks, Voyager said in a statement Monday. FTX and rival crypto exchange Binance had both made offers of nearly $50 million, The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month.
