The allegations of the head of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi, against the Indian Electoral Commission (ECI), alleging a “voice theft”, triggered a stormy exchange between the BJP in power and his alliance, and the opposition parties.

The head of the opposition to Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, said Thursday, September 18, that Indian youth would save the Constitution and protect democracy.

“Youth, students and generation Z of the country will save the Constitution, will protect democracy and put an end to the flight of votes. I am still by their side. I Hind,” wrote Gandhi in a message on X (formerly Twitter). Earlier in the day, he also presented new voting flight files, alleging that it was actively trying to destroy democracy.

Reacting to the statements of Gandhi, the chief minister of Maharashtra, became Fadnavis, said that it was not a question of “voting chori”, but that it happened because of the “Dimag Chori (brain flight)” of Rahul Gandhi, comparing him to a “Maoist”.

“Gandhi asked generation Z to unite to overthrow a democratically elected government. It is not a ‘chori vote’, but Rahul Gandhi’s brain has been stolen. He has no confidence in the Constitution and rejects the institutions. He spoke like an ‘urban maoist’ by saying that the Z generation should be united to overthrow a democratically elected government.”

The head of the BJP and deputy of the UP, Brajesh Pathak, said: “Whenever he (Rahul Gandhi) wins an election, he praised the electoral commission. In Bihar, he sees a potential defeat and made baseless allegations that have no meaning.

However, supporting Gandhi’s claims, the head of the congress, Supriya Shrinate, said: “Everyone should remain vigilant. Four Lakh names were made public to the Bihar via Form 6 to the Electoral Commission. 27 % of new voters are under 20 years old. A centenary becomes a voter for the first time.

“Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi asked all the questions to the electoral commission. So, why is the BJP so upset? The nerves of Gyanesh Kumar are to the test and the BJP feels the pain. What is the bjp’s link with this question? If they are not involved in this, then they should also join us to say that something is wrong, it should be the subject of an investigation.” Added, according to Ani.

Similar ideas have been taken up by PCN-SP deputy Supriya Sule, who asked why political parties are concerned about Gandhi’s claims against the CE.

“In a strong democracy, everyone has the right to express themselves. Rahul Gandhi presented an in-depth presentation of the data. These allegations do not target the BJP or anyone else, but the electoral commission. Why are political parties concerned? They are not at all accused. The electoral commission is an independent body; it will respond to these allegations,” said journalists.

Voices against Rahul Gandhi

The deputy for the PCN Praful Patel told the ANI: “Is he trying to sow anarchy in this country? Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has given us the right to vote, thanks to which many governments have succeeded in the past 75 years. Anyone who speaks thus speaks, in a way, against the country, and such a person does not have the right to stay at their post.

The Minister of the Union, Pralhad Joshi, said: “I do not know what he is trying to say. We are the greatest democracy in the world. Is it our fault if people do not vote for him? He makes absurd statements and compares us to Nepal and Sri Lanka … He thinks that if he cannot access democratically, then he will use alternative ways … Immemorial … People don’t like his call to anarchy … “

BJP deputy Kangana Ranaut compared Gandhi to the “dynasties overthrown in Nepal” by declaring: “Rahul Gandhi has always made statements that are shame in the country.
