Foods sold in Canada recalled that may contain plastic

OTTAWA — Certain Enjoy Life brand bakery products that may contain pieces of plastic are subject to a recall announced Friday by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
The initiative was taken after a recall for the same products was launched in another country.
These are soft cookies, granola bars and breakfast patties. The products were sold nationally and online in 165, 170 or 250 gram packs.
No cases of people being harmed or injured by the consumption of these products have been reported so far in Canada.
Persons who have purchased the recalled products should not consume, sell, serve or distribute them. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency adds that recalled products should be thrown away or returned to where they were purchased.
The CFIA says it is ensuring industry removes recalled products from the marketplace.
