Florence Pugh has taken revenge on social media after being criticized for wearing a bright pink Valentino dress during the fashion house’s haute couture show in Rome, Italy on Friday.
The 26-year-old ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star wrote a lengthy caption on Instagram not only to defend her body, but to ask for ‘respect’ from everyone following the event to celebrate the collection fall 2022-23 at the city’s famous Piazza di Spagna.
« Listen, I knew when I was wearing this amazing Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be comments on it, » she wrote to her seven million followers. « Whether it was negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing. I was excited to wear it, not a wink from me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during, or even now after. . »
Pugh’s neon pink dress featured layers of tulle draped across her chest with a halter neckline and nothing worn underneath. A bountiful skirt full of matching fabric was cinched at the waist and billowing to the floor.
