Festival d’été de Québec: a short festival-goer’s guide

How to get there ? What time to arrive at the sites? What items are permitted or prohibited? After two years without a Summer Festival, it is understandable, dear festival-goers, that you are a little rusty. Before the first notes, here is a guide to refresh your memory.

PLAINS OF ABRAHAM
- Doors openning : 6 p.m.
- Start of the shows: 7 p.m.
- Entrances (2): Cross of Sacrifice, Cap-Blanc
- Passes required for all and strollers prohibited for the Rage Against The Machine concert
FRANCOPHONIE PARK
- Doors openning : 5 p.m. (week), 4 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday)
- Start of the shows: 5:50 p.m. (week), 5:15 p.m. (Sat. and Sun.)
- Entrance (1): access via a waiting area that begins at the corner of D’Artigny and Jacques-Parizeau streets.
- Passes required for all and strollers prohibited for the SUM 41 concert
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SQUARE
- Doors openning : 3 p.m.
- Start of the shows: 6 p.m.
- Entrance: Via Honoré-Mercier, in front of the Tourny fountain
- Youth series (Sat. and Sun.): 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. animation, 11 a.m. shows
ARMORY
- Doors open: 10:30 p.m.
- Start of shows: 11:30 p.m.
- DJ Set: 1 a.m. to 2 a.m.
TICKETS
- Full: 125,000 passes sold and no day tickets will be sold.
CLOSURE OF STREETS
- Honoré-Mercier: 4:30 p.m. to midnight on weekdays, from 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays
- Grande Allée, between rue de la Chevrotière and rue d’Auteuil: from 6 p.m. on weekdays, from noon on Saturdays and Sundays
WATER
- Fountains and refreshment points at all sites
- Crinkle or rigid plastic bottles allowed.
- Glass or metal containers prohibited.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Alcohol, cannabis and its derivatives, cans, portable chairs, umbrellas, inflatable objects, coolers

CLOAKROOMS
- $5. Available at both entrances to the Plains, at Parc de la Francophonie and at the Armory
RTC SHUTTLES
- Go : of 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.every ten minutes
- 410: Lebourgneuf, from the Hydro-Québec parking lot (rue de Celles)
- 420: Sainte-Foy: from the Aquarium parking lot (avenue des Hôtels)
- 430: Charlesbourg: from the parking lot of the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune, with the Atrium/4e Avenue Ouest stop
- 450: Beauport: from the Promenades Beauport parking lot (rue du Carrefour)
- Return : from 9:30 p.m.in the uphill areas on René-Lévesque Boulevard East
