Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies end tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET. Our NBA expert gives his predictions and picks for Game 6, with the Warriors leading 3-2.

The Memphis Grizzlies without Ja Morant will look to surge and force a Game 7 when they visit the Golden State Warriors for a win or go home in Game 6 on Friday.

Memphis absolutely dominated the Warriors in Game 5 on Wednesday, earning a 39-point victory. With the series now at 3-2, Memphis faces another playoff game. Golden State has yet to lose at home in the playoffs, and we don’t see that streak breaking.

Warriors vs. Grizzlies: The Analysis

delicious golden

Despite Ja Morant’s absence, the Grizzlies managed to extend the streak and send it west to Golden State. In Game 5, the Golden State Warriors still shot 45% from the field, but were eliminated by a 39-point margin. As mentioned earlier, the Warriors did not lose at home in the playoffs, a true honor for their fans.

The Warriors were down 27 points by halftime in Game 5 and couldn’t recover from that deficit. The Grizzlies had 18 offensive rebounds, had 37 assists, had 22 defensive turnovers and turned the ball over just 10 times. When the Grizzlies won their turnovers, they rarely scored those turnovers, however, scoring just 10 points on 22 turnovers. This is something that will need to be addressed if you are the Grizzlies.

It was an exciting race for Memphis. Much of the NBA world was counting them before Game 5. However, the Grizzlies got heavy contributions from Jaren Jackson Jr., Tyus Jones and Desmond Bane, who all had 21 points apiece.

Memphis has been a fun story all year. But with the return of Golden State, the Warriors will play with more heart and energy. They will gain more chances on the glass and limit turnovers, unlike Wednesday night.

The Pick: Warriors (-8.5) to cover @ -110 via BetMGM

Defense wins championships

The Warriors have the fifth-lowest record this season, with four out of five games in this series so far. Memphis have been a team to support for bettors throughout the season, but without star man Ja Morant it looks like they will struggle to score on the road.

The line is set at 217.5 for Game 6, which has hit in three of five games so far in this series. Bearing in mind that the Grizzlies are without Morant and the Warriors defense is their best friend, don’t be surprised to see this game go down.

The Pick: Total Points: Under 217.5 @ -110 via BetMGM

different sauce

If you need to name anyone as a series player, it’s Andrew Wiggins. It’s really not particularly close either, and I don’t want to think about what the Warriors would be like in the series without him.

His defense was phenomenal and he didn’t foul in game four. While his point tally wasn’t quite up to snuff, Wiggins went all-in on the glass and played a huge part in bringing the Warriors to 3-2.

He didn’t make his three, but his offense was very strong apart from that. That gamble has paid off in both of the Warriors’ home games so far in this series, and we can expect the Wigg to come out with a bang as the Warriors go forward.

The pick: Andrew Wiggins: 7.5+ assists + rebounds at -105 via BetMGM
