Ex-jharkhand cm champai soren under the resistance of houses for the demonstrations of the tribes on the acquisition of land

The former chief minister of Jharkhand and head of the BJP, Champai Soren, was placed on Sunday to avoid the problems of protests by protests by tribal outfits against the acquisition of land for a health institute managed by the State, the police announced.

His son Babulal Soren, as well as supporters who were on his way to Ranchi, were also detained in a police station, they said.

“Champai Soren is under house arrest as a preventive measure to maintain the law and the order given the demonstrations of the tribal outfits,” the deputy for the city of Ranchi Sp Kv Raman told PTI.

A large number of police officers have also been deployed and barricades set up at strategic points following demonstrations on Sunday, he said.

Soren, however, described the decision as non-democratic and declared that his house arrest had been ordered to support the tribes and their protest. Security was also increased at the Soren residence, which announced that it would join the demonstration.

More than 20 tribal groups, farmers and landowners called for a protest “Hal Joto, Ropa Ropo” (plow, planting plants) protest on Sunday on the site where the RS 1074-Crora Rims-2 hospital project was proposed.

RIMS-2 refers to the expansion of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), a first health establishment in the state.

Barricades have been set up along the roads leading to the Nagri region where the project must arise.

A room in the region, based on Kumar Mahato, 50, said that he had been arrested near Chandni Chowk in Kanke. “I live in Ring Road, but I am not allowed to go to my house,” he said.

The administration of the Ranchi district also tightened the prohibited orders prohibiting public rallies in the Nagri region.

Orders prohibit public meetings and rallies of five or more in the specified perimeter.

It is forbidden to carry weapons and ammunition, explosives and other weapons and the use of speakers is also prohibited in the region, said an official statement. The health service has allocated 207 acres of land for the project.

Jharkhand’s Minister of Health, Irfan Ansari, said last month that the Rims-2 would include a 2,600-bed hospital, and 100 undergraduate seats and 50 third cycle.
