‘Ellen’ Girl Sophia Grace Announces She’s 5 Months Pregnant: ‘The Baby Is the Size of a Banana’

Sophia Grace, the social media star who first rose to prominence at age 5 during an appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ in 2011, announced on Saturday that she was pregnant with five month.
« I’m here to tell you I’m pregnant, » the 19-year-old said in a 7-minute, 52-second video against a backdrop of pink and blue balloons. « So I’m 21 weeks today. »
Grace said she waited so long to make the announcement because she wanted to be sure she and the baby were 100% healthy.
« I’m sure many of you are going to be very shocked, » she added, « because it was probably unexpected, but I was very shocked when I first found out. «
On the heels of announcing the pregnancy to her more than 3.3 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, Grace said her content will now feature more content about baby and maternity clothes. Grace, who added that the baby is currently the size of a banana, also teased that she will reveal the baby’s gender in an upcoming video.
At one point, Grace stood up and showed her « bloated » belly. She also revealed two ultrasounds, including one where the baby is seen sucking her thumb. During her checkup at 17 weeks, Grace said she finally heard the baby’s heartbeat.
« It was literally so cool because it’s crazy to think there’s literally another life inside of you, » she said. « So that was super cool. »
Grace also detailed what the pregnancy journey has been like so far and shared her thoughts on so-called morning sickness.
« I don’t know why they call it morning sickness because it lasted all day! » she joked.
Grace first rose to prominence after appearing with Rosie aged 5 and 8 on Ellen in 2011 following their viral video, in which they performed Nicki Minaj’s « Super Bass » in pink tutus and tiaras.

They came back in May and talked about their first appearance.
« My first memory, because I was obviously five, so I don’t remember much, but the first thing I remember obviously is Nicki Minaj coming out, » Rosie shared. « At the time, I didn’t know who she was, and then it clicked, ‘Oh Sophie sings that song, it must be Nicki Minaj, the one singing it.' »
Sophia Grace and Rosie then hung out on red carpets with Drake, had tea with Taylor Swift, met with One Direction and even wrote their own books. Years later, the girls still have DeGeneres to thank for their fond memories.
« One of them was probably with Drake, » Sophia Grace said of her favorite memory. « Because my dad and I have always been huge fans. I saw him casually walk down the carpet at the Grammys when we were there, and I was like, ‘Drake, my dad loves you so much.’ And we talked to him, he ate some of our candies.
