“Educators are the first link in education”

This is a first for early childhood educators in Quebec. Their profession will be honored from October 24 to 30, during the first National Week of Early Childhood Educators.
This operation is part of a permanent campaign to promote the profession of the Federation of Early Childhood Workers of Quebec (FIPEQ-CSQ), under the theme “Essentials for Quebec”.
“Educators are the first link in education and deserve that we highlight the importance of their work on a daily basis, declared the president of the FIPEQ-CSQ, Valérie Grenon. In partnership with parents, educators contribute to the overall development of children by providing stimulating environments. Thanks to their observation work, they allow young people from 0 to 6 years old to learn through play at their own pace.
The work of educators has benefited from growing recognition from the population in recent years, according to the FIPEQ-CSQ.
“We have a quality network operated by competent and qualified professionals,” says Valérie Grenon.
The latter believes that it is necessary to continue to carry out actions highlighting the contribution of educators, not only in recognition for their work but also to make the profession more attractive.
« We must continue initiatives aimed at recognizing the profession of educator in order to promote the staff and attract the next generation. »
On the occasion of the first National Week of Early Childhood Educators, the FIPEQ-CSQ invites Quebec citizens to participate in activities organized by the Ministère de la Famille and parents to take a moment to thank their educator .
“The early childhood worker cares about the education, health, safety, well-being and development of the little ones she
welcome!”, concludes the (FIPEQ-CSQ).
