Dumoulin and Béland get three points in a domination of the Océanic

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — William Dumoulin and Julien Béland both had a goal and two assists, guiding the Rimouski Oceanic to a resounding 9-0 win over the Victoriaville Tigres on Thursday night.

Patrik Hamrla blocked 14 shots to sign his first shutout this season and the Océanic obtained an eighth consecutive victory.

The Rimouski team took advantage of the indiscipline of its opponents by scoring six goals on 13 power plays. No less than 121 penalty minutes were awarded during the clash.

Jan Sprynar hit the target twice for the Océanic, who haven’t lost since Dec. 2. Shawn Pearson, Charles Côté, Maël St-Denis, Luke Coughlin and Mathis Aguilar each added a goal.

Nathan Darveau and Gabriel D’Aigle shared the net for the Tigres, who had won their last two outings. Darveau allowed four goals on 15 shots as D’Aigle saved 18 of the 23 pucks he faced.

Saguenéens 3 – Voltigeurs 8

Justin Côté recorded a hat trick in addition to adding two assists and the Drummondville Voltigeurs crushed the Chicoutimi Saguenéens 8-3.

Ramparts 5 – Drakkar 3

Zachary Bolduc threaded the needle twice and the Quebec Remparts defeated the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-3 for a fourth straight win.
