Dr. Boileau will provide an update on COVID-19 on Thursday

Quebec’s national director of public health, Luc Boileau, will provide an update on the COVID-19 pandemic Thursday at 11 a.m.

He will be accompanied by Daniel Desharnais, Assistant Deputy Minister, Network and Departmental Coordination and Institutional Affairs Branch.

The last press briefing from Quebec public health dates back to September 7, when Dr. Boileau announced that the bivalent vaccine would be available to the entire population.

The latest assessment in the province reports 1,619 people hospitalized with COVID, including 34 in intensive care. Eight new deaths have been recorded.
