Freida Parton is asking Dolly Parton fans to help pray for her sister after she postponed her upcoming Las Vegas concerts due to health concerns.
Freida took to her Facebook on Tuesday to share an update on the “Jolene” singer, who shared last month that she “has been dealing with some health challenges” and that her doctors said she “needs to have a few procedures.”
“Last night I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling better lately,” Freida wrote. “I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask everyone who loves it to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”
She continued: “She is strong, she is loved, and with all the prayers going up for her, I know in my heart that she is okay.
Although Dolly has not publicly shared what her health issues are, the music icon previously told her fans, “Don’t worry about me leaving the business because God hasn’t said anything about quitting. But, I think he’s telling me to slow down now, so I can be ready for bigger adventures with all of you.”
The “Here You Come Again” artist was originally scheduled for six shows Dec. 4-13 for Dolly: Live in Las Vegas at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace. These performances have since been rescheduled for September 17-26, 2026.
Dolly also won’t be attending the 16th Annual Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Nov. 16 in Hollywood, where she was scheduled to receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
