The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a penalty of 20 lakh on IndiGo for allegedly failing to use qualified simulators for pilot training at Category C aerodromes.
In a filing with the stock exchanges, IndiGo said it received the DGCA order on September 26, 2025 and is challenging it before the relevant appellate authority. The airline added that the penalty had no material impact on its finances or operations.
IndiGo also clarified that the delay in disclosure was not intentional and was due to an internal communication issue.
