Daniel Craig receives royal honor from Princess Anne – Same award given to 007
Daniel Craig now holds the same royal honor as his most famous screen character.
On Tuesday, October 18, the former 007 star paid a visit to Windsor Castle, where Princess Anne made him a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George – the same award James Bond received from the Queen, as mentioned in the Bond novels by Ian Fleming From Russia with love and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Interestingly, this isn’t the only honor Craig shares with 007. As announced in a September 2021 press release, he was made an Honorary Officer of the Royal Navy; Bond is a Commander in the Royal Navy.
