Cyclist dies in fatal crash on Edmonton’s Yellowhead Trail – Edmonton

A 53-year-old cyclist died after colliding with a vehicle early Saturday morning.
Edmonton Fire and Rescue Services and EMS responded at 4:30 a.m. to the collision at Yellowhead Trail and 50 Street.
The cyclist, who was heading north, was struck by a vehicle traveling west. He died on stage.
The 41-year-old man, driver of the vehicle, was not injured.
The Edmonton Police Department said in a statement Saturday that “The 50th Street and Yellowhead Trail overpass remains closed at this time as MCIS investigates. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
