Cuba Gooding Jr. will avoid prison.
On Thursday, the actor pleaded guilty to a lesser charge that will see him receive no jail time, as part of a conditional settlement reached last April, WABC-TV reported.

Earlier this year, Gooding pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge for forcibly kissing a worker at a New York nightclub in 2018. He was arrested in 2019.
By sticking to the terms of the plea arrangement, which included getting out of trouble, six months of alcohol counseling and behavior modification, the 54-year-old was able to withdraw his original plea and plead guilty in lieu of a non-criminal harassment violation. .
As a result, Gooding will face no further punishment and will not have a criminal record. Had he failed to comply with the terms of the conditional agreement, he could have been sent to prison for up to a year.

The forced kiss incident was one of many misconduct allegations against Gooding in recent years, and the actor is facing a number of civil lawsuits from accusers.
In a lawsuit, Gooding is accused of raping a woman in New York in 2013.
