COVID-19: further drop in hospitalizations in Quebec

The number of hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 continued to fall in Quebec, continuing its downward trend observed this week.

According to the latest Health Quebec report, 1,762 people with COVID-19 were in hospital on Friday, a drop of 68 from the previous day. On the intensive care side, the situation remains stable (40, -1).

There are also 14 additional deaths, two of which have occurred in the past 24 hours.

Among people with access to screening centers, there are 739 new infections. On Thursday, 133 positive rapid tests were declared on the government platform.

The situation tends to improve on the side of health care workers as 3,633 people are absent from the network due to COVID-19, a decrease of 37 compared to Thursday.
