Conservative social media app returns to Google’s App Store

Google said it restored the conservative social media app Parler LLC to its app store after agreeing to change some of its content moderation policies and its app.

Speak, which qualifies as “freedom of expression Twitter alternative,” agreed to abide by Google’s app store content requirements, which include moderation policies and the app to remove posts such as those that incite violence, a spokesperson for Alphabet Google said on Friday. Parler agreed to make significant changes to its app to comply with Google policies, the spokesperson said.
