Conor McGregor gave a 18 -month ban for breaking the anti -doping rules of the UFC | Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor received a suspension of 18 months for breaking the anti -doping policy of the UFC after missing three attempted attempted tests last year, three combat sports tests announced on Tuesday.

“McGregor missed three attempts to collect organic samples within 12 months in 2024, which constitutes a violation of the ADP of the UFC (anti -doping policy),” CSAD said in a statement.

CSAD noted that McGregor recovered from an injury and not in the preparation of the fight during the missed collections, and that he fully cooperated with the investigation, accepted the responsibility and provided information that explained the circumstances.

Citing these factors, the CSAD has reduced the standard 24 -month penalty for three six -month location failures. “Despite these attenuating factors, CSAD stresses that precise deposits and the ability to perform unexpected tests are essential to the success of the UFC ADP.”

McGregor, 37, has since returned to the UFC test basin and provided four samples in 2025. The former two -division champion has not contributed since July 2021. His fight planned with Michael Chandler for the UFC 303 in 2024 was canceled after McGregor withdrew from an injury.

The suspension ending in March 2026, the Irishman would be eligible again in the spring of next year, pending medical authorization. This would intervene just in time for the UFC card which should take place in the White House, which President Trump recently announced on June 14, 2026.
